Lens-Artists Photo Challenge – 396 Favorite Quotes with Images

“Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.” — Rudyard Kipling.

Ann-Christine, our host this week, writes, “There is much to learn from old wisdom – and wit…that speaks to us”. Her challenge is for us to make others feel these quotes through our pictures!  I agree that Illustrated quotes with pictures help to make the saying more memorable. Below are a few of my favorites.

“You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry, don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.” – Walter Hagen

“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul.” — Luther Burbank

“The butterfly is a flying flower; the flower a tethered butterfly.” — Ecouchard Le Brun

“No tree becomes rooted and sturdy unless many a wind assails it. For by its very tossing it tightens its grip and plants its roots more securely.” – Seneca

Thanks goes to Ann-Christine for selecting this wonderful topic which has given me a lot to think about!  And be sure to see her post by clicking here.

And please remember another favorite quote as you go about your week:  “Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.” – J.M. Barrie

“Quotes hold profound power to shift mindsets, influence behavior, and provide immediate, relatable wisdom, often acting as a “drug” that can shift moods. They condense complex, life-altering ideas into simple, memorable, and actionable phrases.” – Bridget Webber
