What a Treat to be in Maine during October! Fall foliage is specular and Halloween decorations are on display. “Halloween is opportunity to be really creative.” – Judy Gold
Outside with nature has always provided special hideaways; a wonderful place to relax and surround myself with beauty and tranquility. “Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees… – John Muir
Taking a walk with our camera, spending time looking around at sights which are normally taken for granted. “Beauty can be seen in all things; seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph.” – Matt Hardy
Showing a few images that Inspire me was difficult because the truth is, whenever outside there are many Inspirational things all around to see and photograph! So, I decided on featuring the town of Boothbay, Maine.
Using Negative Space in photography, the area surrounding the main subject which is left unoccupied. Creating this Space helps communicate the composition of the photograph and draws the eyes to the subject.

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge has a well- known guest host this week, Cee Neuner. Our topic this week is “A Single Flower”. Flowers mean so much to so many people. Their beauty is unparalleled.
Tina chose “The Long and Winding Road” as our photo topic this week. I enjoy photographing roads or paths that meander out of sight, around the bend because they seem to bring up many questions.
This week Amy asked us to show pictures featuring our interpretation of “Old and New”. I decided to feature a hundred year old children’s book plus an advertisement featuring Mr Peanut, ninety years ago.
Tina selected “All Wet” as our topic this week. After searching through achieved photos, I decided to show pictures of our trip to Burano, Italy (near Venice).
Ann-Christine selected Morning for our weekly challenge. She is asking us to share a few things we do when starting off our day. Generally, I am an early morning person and find myself heading to the beach first thing, even before a morning cup of coffee!

This week our guest host, John Steiner, asked us to think about a favorite place we visited and if we would go back. When thinking about our challenge, the Island of St. Kitts immediately came to mind.
This week Amy suggested using the title from the book, “A River Runs Through it” by Norman Maclean. So, I decided to feature the Kiawah River by our home. “A river seems a magic thing. A magic, moving living part of the very earth itself.” – Laura Gilpin
The word challenge Ann-Christine chose this week is Chaos. I decided to photographically look at the word Chaos by showing a few examples of chaotic behavior among the Bottlenose Dolphins around Kiawah Island.
This week Patti wants us to feature pictures taken from different perspectives, or angles, of a subject instead of standing in front of it and taking the shot at eye level.
This week Tina send everyone on a treasure hunt with an assignment to feature photo that showed assigned items. And, extra credit for having several assigned items in one image!
Amy picked the word “Narrow” for our photo challenge this week. I decided to begin by featuring a narrow strip of beach and a narrow alleyway in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
