Amy suggested the photo word challenge of the week. When thinking of images to best illustrate my interpretation of everyday moments these came to mind, demonstrating everyday moments birds and people enjoy.

This pair of Roseate Spoonbills are enjoying an everyday moment plus their time together while bathing and grooming their feathers. Since this was taken mid-day they will probably rest soon before catching more shrimp and aquatic insects in the shallow water. It’s a real treat to see these beautiful birds in southern Florida, this image was taken in Bonita Springs.
While on a boat in the Kiawah River, we came upon these brown pelicans sitting on a sand bar. This was taken late morning so they are enjoying their everyday moment of resting before diving for fish again later in the day. It’s fascinating watching them plunge in the ocean head first at great heights and, if lucky, will have a fish in their bill. Looks like exhausting work! This was taken on Kiawah Island, SC, by Capt Sams Spit.
It is clear these children are having a good time playing in the park. It’s everyday moments like this that create lasting memories. This picture was taken at the Promenade de Paillon in Nice, France. This particular park features many creative play sets designed by local artists such as a giant climbing whale, octopus swing and fishing tree house. Too bad I wasn’t able to photograph them!

It’s hard not to have a smile on your face when Goofy walks down the street waving. Disney World in Florida is all about the everyday moment of making time to laugh and have fun whether you’re 8 or 80 years old.
