This opening shot captures one of many beautiful designs that can be created by splashing pool water in the sunlight as a person goes down a water slide and hits the water!
As I thought about different ways water could be in motion a few adjectives came to mind. For example, the two pictures below show how powerful and dangerous an ocean can become at times.
Or, how graceful and beautuful it can appear with lovely reflections on the surface.
Water in Motion can also create momentary feelings of comfort and energy as soft, hypnotic sounding waves wash up on the shore.
Heavy rain beating on a wooden deck during a storm can create a different sound and perhaps a relaxing mood.
Then there are the noisy sounds of splashing water as this duck enjoys his mid-day bath.
In contrast there is the perfectly concentric shape of rain drops falling in a puddle as this rain-soaked bird finishes his afternoon bath.
It’s hard to ignore this lovely fountain and pool by the ocean, so peaceful looking and inviting!
Relaxing, rhythmic sounds of rushing water as it travels downhilll over the rocks.
“There’s something about the water – that solitary kind of peaceful feeling. You’re on Earth but not quite.” – John C. Reilly
Hope you have enjoyed seeing a few of my examples of Water in Motion and perhaps see and feel how water can momentarily affect our moods and thoughts.

I love your first photo, so dynamic and wonderful colours. And you captured that heavy rain so well, I can almost hear it. If I was going to pick favourites on this beautiful post it would be them.
Outstanding. hypnotic, relaxing, rhythmic. all spot on with your images, Sylvia. Love them all, ut the gentle man in the boat was a favorite. Thank you for this great response.
Many thanks, Tina! Isn’t it interesting to note what kind of “mood” the ocean is in each time we see it…..angry, agitated or calm? All based on weather conditions at the time. 😊
Love the stormy sea shots, Sylvia 👏 You’ve captured the power of the oceans perfectly 🌊
