“Live in the sunshine. Swim in the sea. Drink in the wild air.” – Ralph Waldo Emeson
Summer is a happy time of the year. Warm sunshine and a cool breeze is energizing as well as relaxing. This makes spending time, either alone or with friends, so enjoyable.
The guest host this week, Andre, suggests we share a few summer activities which initiate happy summer vibes! For example, sailing with friends on Casco Bay in Portland, Maine.
“Summer means happy times and good sunshine. It means going to the beach and having fun.” – Brian Wilson
A day at the beach with family and friends creates memorable summer vibes.
“We know summer is the height of being alive.” – Gary Shteyngart
Happy times are seeing children enjoying themselves as they play in the pool.
Food, drinks and picnic baskets can be seen everywhere as groups of friends meet in Central Park, New York City; enjoying each others company before the evening Concert On-The-Lawn begins.
Not too far away in another area of the Park a regular summer pick up game of baseball is underway.
“Summer afternoon-summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.” – Henry James
Good summer vibes – relaxing outside and reading with your best friend close by!
“One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter.” – Henry David Thoreau
Hope you enjoyed seeing a few fun summer activities I have either participaed in or liked seeing when out and about with my camera. Hopefully this topic will encourage you to think about things you do that create good vibes, during the summer or anytime! In closing, to me this quote by Eric Carle initiates positive vibes just by reading it:
“Simply, slow down, be kind. And don’t forget to have art in your life – music, painting theater, dance and sunsets.” – Eric Carle
