Lens Artists Photo Challenge #200 Every Little Thing

“Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a grandchild, the first snowfall. It’s the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps.” – unknown

We are invited to share little things that makes us smile and hopefully  you will also.

The header shot is a white Hydrangea flower.  Interestingly, this large single flower is made up of many clusters of small flowers. These beautiful flowers are quite popular and come in several colors. They have a wonderful way of bringing happiness and warmth in someone home.

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” – Confucius

When looking at this lovely Ginger Lily, the little fly perched on it made me smile!

“Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air.” – Georges Bernanos

Hard not to notice these small lovely wild flowers nestled in among green ferns.

This orchid plant was purchased a couple of years ago. After the initial flowers fell off, it went through a dormant period and has bloomed again! I can’t help but smile now everytime I see it.

“Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly and most underrated agent of human change.” – Bob Kerrey

When observing her eightieth birthday, a friend decided to celebrate by helping others.  Several of us volunteered to give money to a few random people as her gift. This unexpected act of kindness was featured in a previous post, February 2020, entitled Future (Link).

“Blessed are they that see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing…” – Camille Pissarro

Who couldn’t smile when looking at this delicious desert?  This was served onboard a cruise ship a few years ago. A talented chef with a creative sense of humor!

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” – Ashley Smith

Hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures (double click to enlarge for better viewing). Thanks goes to Amy at The World is a Book (link) for suggesting we share pictures which make us smile.

“Simply, slow down, be kind.  And don’t forget to have art in your life – music, painting theater, dance and sunsets.” – Eric Carle
