Odds and Ends is the topic this week so I found a few pictures which do not seem to fit in any particular category. For example, the header picture shows two “windows” on the wall in a popular restaurant near our house. The one on the right is actually an old mirror in a frame which was shipped from France. It’s wavy, crackled glass is reflecting the beautiful colors from picture across the room and blending them together. As for the second window, guess it speaks for itself. This shows the inside of a cabinet located behind the bar in the other room.
And, below are three frogs in the fountain, yodeling to people as they stroll by in the alley area.
Decorative figures showing seafaring mainers from days gone by. These are just two of the many figures lining the top of the wall in this popular bar in Maine.
Small starfish discovered inside a couple of mussel shells in a resturant! Imagine everyones surprise.
A delicious bowl of Beignets from a restaurant a few miles away from home. Even though beignets are served as an appertizer in France, my husband and I can’t resist ordering them for dessert. Yummy fried donut dough shaped in hollow balls, covered with powdered confectioners’ sugar and servered with warm chocolate on the side for dipping! 😊
Tina selected this fun topic for the week so we could share pictures a few pictures which would otherwise be forgotten. Be sure to see her post by clicking here.
