Explore the magic of light. The extraordinary power of light as it conveys interesting emotions in a picture. Picture below shows sunlight on clouds stirred up by the ocean breezes. The light turned them into a golden color giving the picture an airy, light, optimistic feel.

The power of light! I still recall an eerie feeling sweeping over me as everything turned pinkish and blue when on Kiawah’s beach in the evening. This soft natural light created several surreal, ethereal moments; fortunately my camera was close by.
Vivid golden light lit up the area as the sun was setting. It created a golden glow with a gentle feeling of airiness.

The sunlight on these majestic clouds created this breath taking scene behind our house in Maine. It was a powerful moment when seeing the vivid and dramatic colors from the sun.
In contrast, the light from the moon on these pine branches created a mysterious and ethereal feeling.
Approaching storm clouds indicate a threating situation is close at hand. The contrast between dark and light clouds seem to convey an intense, ominous feeling.
These last two pictures show this arrangement in indirect sun light and then with sunlight from an overhead window. Example of the magical power light can have in a photograph!
