DELICATE is the photo challenge word for this week. Ann-Christine wants us to think about different ways this word can be portrayed with pictures. Such as a Delicate touch or colors, perhaps butterfly wings and new growth on plants and trees.
“This is what it means to be loved… when someone wants to touch you, to be tender…” –
A Delicate, gentle touch from this boy as he strokes the back of our dog in a loving way.
“The colors of the (water and) underwater rock are as pale and delicate as those in the wardrobe if an 18th-century marchioness.” – William Manchester
Delicate colors surround the beach as the rising sun casts shades of yellow, blue and pink while these migrating birds hungrily feed and rest before continuing their journey. This was taken on the beach at Kiawah Island, SC.
“When I think of Simone, I think of butterfly winds. Beautiful and excruciatingly delicate. Touch them once and they might disintegrate.” – Nick Sagon
This was taken at butterfly farm in Aruba a few years ago. This box holds the chrysalis for the pupae of various butterfly species. Now the newly emerged swallowtail butterfly below is waiting for its wings to dry so it can leave.
New spring growth on flowers is very Delicate in touch, color and design.
“When you see how fragile and delicate life can be, all else fades into the background.” – Jenna Morasca
