This week Tina wants us to share a few special nostalgic moments. Thinking back the great memories of the fun times spent with our family is right up there at the top of the list. Our children and grandchildren are scattered in the northeastern part of the country so we do not have the opportunity to see everyone as much as we’d like. This means getting together a few times each year is a real treat. Without fail, we always seen to congregate either in the kitchen, on the beach, or at the pool.
“Sometimes we will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss
Our three sons are very good cooks and when they get together in the kitchen, it becomes organized chaos🙃; the dishes they prepare are so tasty no one minds. The rest of us have learned to stay on the sidelines and not volunteer too many suggestions or opinions on how something should be done. Many pots and pans later, dinner is prepared, tables are set, the wine is poured and everyone sits down to a wonderful meal. Guess who gets to head up the kitchen clean cleaning committee later on? Must admit though, everyone pitches in to help so the job goes pretty fast😊.
“We didn’t realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun.” – unknown
Everyone enjoys spending hours at a time on the beach or at the pool, especially the children!
“The heart, like the mind, has a memory. And in it are kept the most precious keepsakes.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“Some days I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice.” – unknown
It was great reflecting on these Nostalgic moments, thanks to Tina’s Photo Challenge topic this week. Am guessing we all remember many happy times and enjoy taking an occasional Nostalgic trip down memory lane!!
