Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: #51 UNIQUE

This week Amy invites us to feature Unique looking pictures.  To me, an abstract scene is unique in the purest sense of the word.  On occasions I like to take pictures with the idea of conveying a Unique or abstract look.  Hope you enjoy seeing a few of my favorites!

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”  Albert Einstein

This is a picture of a reflection on the water.   This image was created by the sun reflecting the colors from a man’s clothing; an aqua shirt, green cap and brown pants.   I like this because of its unique design with interesting, distinctive color patterns.

The reflection of this tree on the pond caught my attention with its lovely colors and vertical lines.  Thought it would be fun to rotate the image 180 degrees so it would appear to be a standing tree against an interesting background.

“In every landscape should reside jewels of abstract art waiting to be discovered.”  –  Melissa Brown

Morning fog surrounding these various plants and tree branches created such soft delicate colors and textures.

“I always find beauty in things that are odd & imperfect – they are much more interesting.” – Marc Jacobs

Early morning sun along with mist in the air created interesting colors and textures on this grassy mound.  This area was recently beaten down by rain and wind leaving a few green leaves and single white feather which became entangled in the grasses.

“There is no abstract art.  You must always start with something.  Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.”  –  Pablo Picasso
