Ann-Christine defined Dreamy in the challenge this week. She wrote: “Soft, dreamy photography is one that utilizes soft light, soft focus, delicate tones, and other gentle elements to create ethereal pictures. It often gives a blurred, or hazy feel to the images – an almost surreal or unearthly effect.” This style often prioritizes mood and feeling, making it popular for subjects like romantic portraits, landscapes, and fairytales.
These Dreamy pictures were randomly selected and seem to convey different moods or feelings. The one below was taken in one the the many parks in Charleston, SC. Giant live oak trees like this one are seen throughout the City, offering shade and coolness from the hot summer sun.
This next series of three was taken on Kiawah Island.
The abstract below of the sky is made up of cloud formations after a summer storm. This was taken at at our home in southern Maine.

“Nature is painting for us, day after day, a picture of infinite beauty” by John Ruskin
Thank you for these lovely images from your beautiful place in the world, Sylvia! I am late in answering, but my best friend, Milo, was severely attacked by a pitbull and he’s got my full attention right now. I know your beautiful dogs, and hope none of them will be attacked agressively like Milo was. Thank you again♥
So beautifully dreamy, Sylvia. The last one is like a painting.

Lovey soft images Sylvia
Sylvia, what a magnificent gallery! Just that opening image alone could provide plenty of dreamy options.
Beautiful post Sylvia, especially loved your Charleston image and your Maine sky – which is incredible!
