This week Ann-Christine invites us to share what “Happiness Is” means to us. This topic made me think about what is important and what brings happiness in my life.
“Happiness, not in another place but this place…not for another hour, but this hour.” ∼ Walt Whitman

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” ∼ Mahatma Gandhi
Happiness Is being with my husband, family and friends as we laugh and share good times together while making memories. Fun times spent cooking in the kitchen, dinner table talk, quiet time, walks, biking and traveling together.
“Happiness is a warm puppy.” ∼ Charles M. Schulz
Happiness Is being with our pets, Bentley and Chester. They came into our family at the age of two and six months. Five and a half years later they continue to bring us so much joy, happiness and companionship. How can you not be happy around a loving pet?
“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” ∼ Dalai Lama XIV
Happiness Is going out with my camera to capture a particular scene or stumbling upon an unexpected scene to photograph which turns out better than expected. This was taken yesterday in Bonita Springs, Florida when driving by a favorite swampy area looking for birds to photograph. In the distance I saw what could have been a brown rock or part of a fallen tree, out of curiosity I decided to photograph it . Using the 300mm lens imagine my surprise when I discovered it was this pair of ducks sharing a happy moment.
“It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy.
It is what you think about it.” ∼ Dale Carnegie
